This is a very special dress! It’s clearly very old, very 1920s in style but in surprisingly good condition for a 100 year old dress, so I am only about 80% sure that it is actually from the 20s. Maybe it was made as a costume at some point along the way?
I bought this dress for the Borrow from Bell Street collection to celebrate signing the lease on my first shop, and wore it to the launch party of my second shop. What will you celebrate in it?
It’s kind of a magical dress in that it stretches and drapes to fit anyone between a size 8-14. You just have to wiggle into it!

Bell Street is best enjoyed in person!
Our range is all second hand and was all made by a variety of brands and makers over many different eras. For this reason, it is impossible to create a sizing chart or guarantee how a garment will fit each person! However, we know our range very well and are really good at sizing you up and making recommendations. If you are able to get to our store in Sydney, it is well worth the trip to try things on in person. We recommend staying awhile to try on LOTS of things, so you can have a few outfits in mind for your next occasion - we are happy to post items out to existing customers.
